I went out with some girlfriends last night to a magazine event in Manhattan last night. I hadn't planned on going out really, so my outfit was a little mork work casual and a little less night club, but I have to say, I felt cute. This morning I got up for work and realized that I had forgotten to pick up my laundry from the laundromat. One of the great benefits of living in NYC is that
you can do drop off service of your laundry and it's actually pretty darned cheap. I'd probably spend more doing it myself, and damn if they don't fold things so much better than I do! Since I didn't have my laundry, I was left to look through what is left hanging in the closet. As I mentioned a few posts ago, I bought a few new dresses, one of which I wore last night, and that is about what I had to choose from in the closet. And then I remembered... I have this sweater dress that I had ordered a while back that I was waiting for cooler weather to get into. Well hot damn, if I don't feel sexy today! I threw on a pair of black tights and heeled wing tips and voila! Hot stuff. It's nice to feel good in the clothes I'm wearing. It's been some time since I last went into my closet and smiled when I looked through my clothes. This is definitely one of the rewards of this journey. Finally looking into my closet and being a little excited to get dressed in the morning. Such a different place than I was just a couple months ago. I'm happy to have options that don't include jersey knit. For a while there I felt like everything I owned looked like it was made from t-shirt material. I'll try and get someone to take a pic later on today!
