Fill #2
Today I saw my NP for a second fill. He was saying, you seem to be losing just fine, but I had to admit to him that I had been at the same weight for a few weeks, and up till my teenager-esque drinking binge on Saturday night,
I'd been struggling to get off the same 4 pounds that I kept gaining and losing. If it weren't for binge drinking causing me not to be able to eat, I'd still be up at the same weight as when he last saw me. So... he gave me a fill. Initially I was at 3cc with my first fill and when I saw him today, he said he could give me another 3, but I winced, and he said, how about 1.5? That sounded less scary to me. So he filled me up, and here I sit at lunch with my protein shake. I feel a difference for sure. Now lets see if it will slow me down when I get back to regular food. I know I'm not supposed to rely on it to make me stop, but if I didn't need help stopping, I wouldn't have a band in the first place. Right??

I understand your reasoning, but the truth is you'll always be able to eat however much you want... if you allow yourself. :(
ReplyDeleteYou can do it!
It took me getting to my second fill until I was in a good zone for losing!! You'll get there! I promise!
ReplyDeleteFor sure! It also took my 2nd fill for me to really start feeling the restriction. Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your fill,How long do you have to be on fluids for?
ReplyDeleteHoly restriction Batman! I def feel a difference. I'm having yogurt and wow, it's different. I was allowed to have soft foods last night so I had some mashed potatoes (there weren't many options at the bar outside the Mets game before we went in, so I had to make do). I was STUFFED on about 1/2 cup. Now the morning yogurt is slow going down. This is definitely slowin my roll. This may have been just the adjustment I needed! Thanks for the encouragement girls!
